Today ! I talk about my favorite movie would have to be "A Walk to Remember." It was about an outwardly plain Christian girl named Jamie, and Landon, an aimless, reckless guy who breezed through school on looks and popularity. I liked this movie for many reasons. The main character, Jamie was not afraid of letting people know that her faith was the most important part of her life. That was very impressive to me. This movie also showed that it is possible for people to change their ways. Most of all it was a love story and that is my favorite kind of movie.

Jamie was true to her beliefs even though it was not cool. She was as far from cool as she could possibly be, but she didn´t care. She was ridiculed all the time by other students

This was a love story, but a sad one. Jamie was sick with leukemia. She does everything she can to run away from romance until it becomes impossible for her to deny. She had a list of things that she wanted to come true before she died, and Landon made all her wishes come true. Even though Landon knew she was going to die, he wanted to marry her anyway and they married.

The movie shows that it is possible for people to change. One night Landon was involved in a prank that landed one kid in the hospital. As punishment Landon had to tutor a young student at school and participate in the Drama Club's Spring play, two activities the principal hopes.

It is a very nice movie J

Blog Brain

Hello!! I will talk about the human brain, but from a standpoint of evolution.

During human evolution, our forebrain became larger as our cerebral cortex increased in size. This means it had to become more folded to fit inside the skull. This gives the outside of the human brain its 'walnut' appearance. Humans have a larger cerebral cortex relative to the rest of the brain than any other animal. The cerebral cortex handles many of our unique skills, like language and problem solving."

When we compare our brain to those of other animals, the first thing that strikes us is its size. Human brains weigh on average 1,300 grams; a squirrel brain weighs six grams. Some of this difference is because, as larger animals, we need more brain to run our bodies. However, the brains of our nearest relatives, the great apes, weigh only 300-500 grams, even though their body size is similar to our.

Throughout mammalian and primate evolution, there has been a gradual increase in brain size, superimposed with spikes of fast growth such as the tripling in human brain size that occurred about 1.5 million years ago, 4 million years after the human lineage diverged from that of the great apes. 'Even in the ape lineage, the brain has been expanding but along the human lineage it has really taken off.

In addition, over time, different parts of our brain have increased in size at different rates. The cerebral cortex has expanded more than other areas, and within the cortex, some areas have expanded differentially while others have laged behind.

This subject is so much more than talk.

Hello everybody!!

Today I am going to speak about abortion but within a social context

As a young person you have the right to make decisions about issues that affect your own life. The reality is that unintended pregnancy is likely to affect all of us at some point in our lives, either directly or indirectly.

To make an informed choice about pregnancy – or to help others to make an informed choice – everyone needs an opportunity to think through the issues pregnancy raises, to distinguish the facts about abortion from the fiction, and to know where to go for non-judgmental help and advice.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions about abortion, but individuals also have the right to make decisions for themselves.

People anti-abortion argue that information about sex should come from parents. But are parents doing it? Do they know what to say? Or when to say it? But in the reality many parents feel uncomfortable discussing sex with children. When they do, important information is often omitted.

Sexuality education does not increase sexual activity; it increases knowledge and responsibility. The net result: fewer unwanted pregnancies and fewer abortions

For many young people today, sexual expression is often the only way to feel loved. Becoming pregnant, or causing pregnancy, is a tragic outcome of that quest for intimacy.

Young people with high levels of self-esteem are the least likely to compromise their futures by taking the risk of unintended pregnancy.

To help young people avoid this we must provide them meaningful alternatives: a better understanding of human sexual development, a better education, real career opportunities, job development, training, placement and hope for a better life.

Blog stress

Hello !!

Today I am going to speak about, "the stress"

Two main types of stress

Stress is your body's reaction to the demands of the world. Stressors are events or conditions in your surroundings that may trigger stress. Your body responds to stressors differently depending on whether the stressor is new — acute stress — or whether the stressor has been around for a longer time — chronic stress

The acute stress, also known as the fight-or-flight response, acute stress is your body's immediate reaction to a significant threat, challenge or scare. The acute-stress response is immediate and intense.

A single episode of acute stress generally doesn't cause problems for healthy people. However, severe acute stress can cause mental health problems, such as post-traumatic stress disorder, and even physical difficulties such as a heart attack.

The problem occurs when acute stressors pile up and stick around. This persistent stress can lead to health problems, such as headaches and insomnia. The chronic-stress response is much more subtle than is the acute-stress response, but the effects may be longer lasting and more problematic.

Effective stress management involves identifying and managing both acute and chronic stress.

Since everyone has a unique response to stress, there is no “one size fits all” solution to managing it. No single method works for everyone or in every situation, so experiment with different techniques and strategies. Focus on what makes you feel calm and in control

You can control your stress levels with relaxation techniques that evoke the body’s relaxation response, a state of restfulness that is the opposite of the stress response. Regularly practicing these techniques will build your physical and emotional resilience, heal your body, and boost your overall feelings of joy.

Today I want to speak about the emergency contraception.

The idea of emergency contraception —-or a morning-after pill—- is based on a theory. Under this theory, if a woman has unprotected sexual intercourse (without use of contraception, contraception failure or cases of rape) and fears she may become pregnant, she can take large doses of birth control pills to prevent a pregnancy.

Emergency contraception, essentially, is a high dosage of the birth control pill. It is recommended for use after sexual intercourse, over a period of 72 hours, to achieve the goal of preventing pregnancy.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes that emergency contraceptive (EC) s should be widely available and can be provided by pharmacists. In addition, WHO recognizes that EC is highly cost effective and that the cost of EC supplies and services will be more than covered by the savings to the health system in preventing unplanned pregnancy and abortions and their complications.

There are three different ways birth control pills are currently being promoted for this use: progesterone alone, estrogen alone, or both of these artificial steroids together. Again, these are the same steroids found in the typical birth control pill.

In my opinion emergency contraception is used to prevent pregnancy after a coital act not adequately protected by a regular method of contraception. In contrast to early medical abortion, emergency contraception prevents a pregnancy from starting and does not disrupt an established pregnancy.

However, if hormonal emergency contraception is inadvertently taken in early pregnancy, neither the woman nor the fetus will be harmed.

if exist a easier access to and a wider use of emergency contraception could dramatically lower the high rates of unintended pregnancy.

I'm studying in University of Chile. This is a very old building, so i think that important changes need to be done. About infrastructure, like i said before, it's a very old building and maybe it could be more modern, but laboratories and auditoriums are very good and they don't interfere with learning, wich at the end is the most important aspect to evaluate. My faculty has beautiful green areas, wich i think is very important because you can relax and forget for a while books, study, big tests, etc. It also has a special place where you can party with your friends and have a nice time.
Another aspect that i will improve in my faculty is COMPUTERS!!!!. For example, at this moment i'm writing, and i have to wait 5 or 10 minutes to open another page. Computers in library are very slow, this is very difficult because i think is a big obstacle to study. Many students don't have the money to buy a computer, so they need to study and do their homeworks with faculty's computers. The solution is to buy more computers.
I guess i will solve this situation talking with the person who is in charge of computers, because we pay a big amount of money, and it should be invest in things for students and not only for the university.
And last but no least,my faculty is full of street dogs, so i will give them a long bath because they smell bad, really bad.

hello everybody!

In this new phase of the course, I will talk about my favorite book. In this new phase of the course, I will talk about my favorite book. Is difficult to decide only one book that I like very much. I have a lot of books that I like, for example: “ I decided to live” , “Stories with soul”, “My orange lime plant”. If I have to choose one of these three books, the best is my orange lime plant. I read this book when I was in school. That was many years ago.

Is a book that I had the obligation to read when I was in High School. It is a book that tells about a boy of 7 years, which has a very aggressive family with him. His mother did not worry about it.

This kid knows a lot of people different from him. He learns from them, as they of him. This child will have to live strong experiences, such as child abuse, death of an adult who he met at the beginning of the story, and it was like his father image he had.

This plant was his friend, he told him everything. It was her friend unconditionally. It is a book that makes relfexionar on children's lives. About how children think at this age. As they see the adult world. This book would recommend it to teenagers to realize the vulnerability of children.

Is great book that we should read all
